Currently, WWF-Indonesia is starting a project 'Sustainable Ecosystem Advance "(SEA) for a period of 5 years which is funded by USAID through Tetratech consulting firm.This project will work in three areas: Maluku, North Maluku and West Papua need the best candidate to fill the position as a Fisheries Officer - CERAM with placements in Ambon.Fisheries Officer in the organizational structure SEA Project specifically works on the area of program implementation in West Seram, Central Maluku, and East Seram - Maluku and responsible directly to the Site Coordinator Seram with technical coordination with the team in the area of implementation.Fisheris Officer responsible for assisting the SEA Site Coordinator and Project Leader in developing and implementing strategies and action plans related to the field of fisheries are the goals and achievements of the SEA project. Develop research-based policy support program implementation and increased awareness about sustainable fisheries based on an ecosystem approach appropriate project objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform various targeted fisheries data collection and analysis needed to tally harvest control rule - harvest strategy and implementation of the Project implementation EAFM in the region, particularly in the Province
- Promote practices guide of fishing is responsible (refer to the standard MSC certification, and BMP fisheries published by WWF), as well as the collaboration platform fisheries are responsible (Seafood Savers and or NETS-Archipelago) to the relevant stakeholders in Project implementation area, particularly in the Province
- Collaborate with various relevant parties in guidance practice of fishing is responsible in the implementation of the Project, particularly in the Province
- Reviewing the various regulatory / policy related to fisheries in the interests of the achievements of Project
- Presenting information on the fisheries issue to be used as a decision-making or the work process to achieve an output Project
- Ensure budget Fisheries Project in the field can be managed effectively and efficiently as well as compatible with the financial regulations and audit regulations.
- Make periodic reports and ad hoc or to document progress, outcomes, and learning program

- Technical support unit of WWF Indonesia's SEA Project
- Technical Staff fisheries program at the SEA Project (Tetra Tech, CTC, WCS)
- Businesses operating in the area of fisheries Project implementation, including fisheries associations (if any), particularly in the Province
- NGOs, CBOs, and local communities related to fisheries issues Project implementation, particularly in the Province
- UPT fisheries technical staff in the Central Government and the Provincial SKPD / Other districts in the relevant region Project implementation, particularly in the Province
- Universities and research institutes of marine and fisheries in the implementation of the Project, particularly in the Province
Technical Requirements
- Minimal S1 field Fisheries / Marine
- Minimum 2 years experience in the field of fisheries resource management / marine
- Have the ability and knowledge of the basic concepts of EAFM, MSC certification, the fishery stock prediction, and analysis of data - fishery statistics,
- Have a good ability of organizing communities and discussion facilitator.
- Have good English language skills, oral and written
- Able to work in a team or individually, with minimum supervision

- Able to communicate and coordinate with various parties well
- Independent, intelligent, and strategic thinking skills.
