the Children is an international non-profit organization that focuses
on the fulfillment of children’s right. Save the Children was first
established in May 1919 in the U.K. and to date has 28 Save the Children
Offices and operations
in more than 120 countries worldwide. In 1976, Save the Children signed
an MoU with the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of
Indonesia, followed then by the operations of Save the Children
throughout Indonesia. Currently, Save the Children work in
11 provinces with a variety of program areas, such as: Education,
Health and Sanitation, Livelihood, Child Protection also Disaster Risk
Reduction.
Save
the Children is committed in conducting its programs in a way that is
safe for children beneficiaries and to help protect children with whom
Save the Children in a relationship. As a humanitarian organization,
Save the Children is
obliged to create and maintain an environment to prevent any sexual
exploitation and sexual abuse of children as well as to promote the
implementation of child safety policies.
Now we are looking for a position of:
ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT (code: AA-CO), based in Country Office Jakarta, 1 position
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate to establish SCI financial policies and accounting controls
- Assist Accountant for the accuracy of budget codes, account codes, awards’ end dates and posting reviewed transactions into Agresso Financial Management System (FMS).
- Assist Accountant to review Cash and Petty Cash Offline Spreadsheet (CAPCOS), General Ledger Offline Spreadsheet (GLOS), and General Ledger and Cash Offline Spreadsheet (GLACOS) from Sub Offices and Country Office and upload them to the Agresso FMS in bi-weekly base for Sub Office and daily base for Country Office.
- Enter the transactions into Account Payable Module in Agresso in a daily basis
- Participate in preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual schedules with its supporting schedules as per requirement in timely manner.
- Assist to conduct regular analyze on financial schedules assigned and follow the action instructions from supervisor appropriately
- Assist Accountant to prepare Monthly Control Check (MCC) and Monthly Financial Review (MFR).
- Assist Accountant to follow up any action plans from the previous MFR and providing data requested in the MFR.
- Assist Accountant to maintain the financial documents in an orderly and secure manner
- Together with Finance and Budget Manager and Accountant, provide advanced skills training to staff in the areas of financial reporting.
- Support audit visit needs are well coordinated and all financial information required by the auditors is promptly provided.
- Assist in providing special reports as requested in relation to the financial business or Country Office
Qualification:

Experience in review the financial transactions.

Knowledge in finance and accounting system.

Ability to analyse multi-funded operations.
·
Knowledge of Agresso Financial Management System is preferable.
·
Computer literate
·
Good understanding of spoken and written English.
·
Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work independently with minimum supervisory.
